Your DNA

You are hands-on in making data technology actually deliver on its promises. As such you are fully aware of the most relevant data related technical capabilities, skills, tools and knowledge. As the most senior client adviser - against any given marketing and IT framework - you form the client view on what data technological capabilities should be acquired, developed and maintained; so to make most of the data related opportunities for an individual client. You coach clients towards adoption of the data architecture you help create – and provide a robust framework to help safeguard clients against legal and reputational data risks.

Role purpose

The Data Architech in DNA is responsible for shaping, steering and delivering the technological direction of data in a bespoke manner for (global) A-brands. Against their individual marketing and media objectives and challenges and tailored to their existing technology stack, you engage with the client to design their data architecture. This entails identifying, implementing and executing projects where data related technical capabilities can help gain clients a robust competitive advantage.

In the identification phase the DA plays a proactive role as the most senior data architect in a network with business owners and other (external) stakeholders.

  • You participate and facilitate a debate that surfaces the business challenges and opportunities around data that have a technical and specifically development component in them;
  • You provide input to understanding the technical data solutions and their feasibility to business challenges;
  • You help understand the technological investment and required organizational change as an input to business cases.

In the execution phase the DAs role turns into hands-on project delivery.

  • You plan, budget and (help) source (technical) experts for development projects;
  • You execute, manage and deliver projects on time and on budget;
  • You proactively inform stakeholders about the status of delivery of projects and any contingencies you are faced with;
  • You maintain an up to date strategic development roadmap.

You carry a specific responsibility with regards to the legal requirements surrounding data. In this particular role, you identify data risks (e.g. security, compliance, publisher data accessibility etc.) and monitor internal and external developments.

Key Accountabilities

In the DNA Data Management & Visualisation team, you are responsible for a number of A-brands to govern the development and / or execution of a range of projects consisting of – but not limited to:

  • Engaging with the marketing and IT departments to enrich the existing technology vision with a vision on the required data architecture 6-12 months ahead and 12 months+ ahead;
  • From the technology vision, arriving at a data engineering, management and visualization roadmap and project design that helps deliver the roadmap;
  • Data application development for particular marketing and sales optimization cases, that foster the creation of clean, ready-to-use datasets.

You practically help external clients with among others:

  • Technology stack decisions
  • Technology stack implementation and integrations
  • Identifying valuable data applications, e.g.

 - Global dashboarding design for media expenditure dashboards, that facilitate clients to engage in marketing mix modelling and attribution modelling projects

 - Online and offline e-commerce market and ex-factory sales data integration, to facilitate path to purchase optimization, leveraging promotions data, media data and multi-channel sales data

Your Profile

You hold these qualifications and experiences that are relevant to be successful in this role:

  • A background in IT architecture
  • Existing relationships with vendors / suppliers are a strong plus
  • Well trained in current and future technologies
  • Working knowledge of e.g. Adobe Marketing Cloud, Krux, Salesforce CRM / Pardot, SAS, Selligent, Datorama, etc. a bonus
  • Able to quickly assess the strengths and setbacks of new technologies
  • Able to quickly assess the organizational benefits / implications of existing and new technologies
  • Able to form a quick and strong opinion on the current status of a client organization in terms of data maturity
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a geographically diverse team consisting of a variety of expert professionals in different data engineering, management and visualization fields
  • Experienced in liaising with transformation consultants and IT project management
